BIG CHANGES TO FREE CHILDCARE COMING IN SEPTEMBER 2025

Childcare Choices: Get the help that fits your family, so you can juggle work and life

Early Years childcare support is expanding.

From September 2025, 15 hours for working families with children under 3 will expand to 30 hours, meaning eligible working families can now apply for 30 hours of childcare from the term after their child turns 9 months until they reach school age.

If you currently receive 15 hours for working parents, just reconfirm as usual and the code will work for the 30 hours offer in September, providing you remain eligible.

Thousands of families could be saving money on their childcare costs. But some simply don’t know what support they might be eligible for. The Childcare Choices website brings together all the existing childcare offers in one place, so parents can get the help that fits their family. This could be through Tax-Free Childcare, 30 Hours Childcare, or Universal Credit Childcare. Some families might be eligible to use more than one childcare schemes together and get the most out of it.
And from next year even more help is on the way:

Don’t miss out on getting the support you are entitled to. Visit the Childcare Choices website to check what offer you might be eligible for and sign up to their newsletter to get the latest updates about the childcare support expansion.

Please come into our branch and speak to our managers if you need help applying for funding.

We have a limited number of places available at both Ward End and Castle Bromwich.

Places are filling up fast and we expect to be full before the census in January.

Big changes are coming for parents of children aged 2.  All working families will be eligible for 15 hours of free childcare for 38 weeks of the year from April  This is certain to cause a big increase in the numbers of parents wanting a nursery place so if you're interested in your child attending Flying High, then please contact us as soon as possible so that we can support you to complete all the required paperwork and check your eligibility for any funding.

Viewings of both our settings are strongly recommended, so you can meet the staff and make sure that Flying High is the right place for them to start their learning journey.

We look forward to meeting you and your child soon.
